A generalized implicit enumeration algorithm for a class of integer nonlinear programming problems
Presented here is a generalization of the implicit enumeration algorithm that can be applied when the objec-tive function is being maximized and can be rewritten as the difference of two non-decreasing functions. Also developed is a computational algorithm, named linear speedup, to use whatever explicit linear constraints are present to speedup the search for a solution. The method is easy to u...
متن کاملA Global Convergence Proof for a Class of Genetic Algorithms
In this paper a variant of a genetic algorithm is investigated which combines the advantages of genetic algorithms and of simulated annealing. In particular, under rather mild assumptions a global convergence result is derived.
متن کاملConvergence to Global Minima for a Class of Diiusion Processes
We prove that there exists a gain function ((t); (t)) t0 such that the solution of the SDE dx t = (t)(? grad U(x t)dt + (t)dB t) 'settles' down on the set of global minima of U. In particular the existence of a gain function ((t)) t0 so that y t satisfying dy t = (t)(? grad U(y t)dt + dB t) converges to the set of the global minima of U is veriied. Then we apply the results to the Robbins-Monro...
متن کاملStrong convergence theorem for a class of multiple-sets split variational inequality problems in Hilbert spaces
In this paper, we introduce a new iterative algorithm for approximating a common solution of certain class of multiple-sets split variational inequality problems. The sequence of the proposed iterative algorithm is proved to converge strongly in Hilbert spaces. As application, we obtain some strong convergence results for some classes of multiple-sets split convex minimization problems.
متن کاملConvergence of a Class of Semi-Implicit Time-Stepping Schemes for Nonsmooth Rigid Multibody Dynamics
In this work we present a framework for the convergence analysis in a measure differential inclusion sense of a class of time-stepping schemes for multibody dynamics with contacts, joints, and friction. This class of methods solves one linear complementarity problem per step and contains the semi-implicit Euler method, as well as trapezoidallike methods for which second-order convergence was re...
